Our Jun Chiyabari TGFOP black tea comes from a family-run estate in the Dhankuta district of Nepal, set in the Hile Hills at between 5,500 and 7,000 feet above sea level. With Mt. Everest to the north and the lowland Terai jungles to the south, cooling mountain mists meet warmer southern air to create a unique microclimate that the tea thrives on.
Comparable to the finest Darjeelings, it carries a delicious muscatel flavour — bright, aromatic, and lightly astringent, with softer notes of wheat and moss.
TGFOP (Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe), is a high-quality grade given to finished teas based on the quality and condition of the leaves.
